To receive with grace
may be the greatest giving.

“Given To”
Ruth Bebermeyer

I am a discussion leader. A personal support enthusiast. A storyteller. A listening ear.

I offer my time and services in different ways:

  • As a group facilitator in small group gatherings and retreat settings
  • Sharing and listening in individual one time/one hour private meetings
  • With my book, My Mom’s Last Letter

I creatively facilitate conversation and stories, helping people to find ways to gain understanding and strength when dealing with end of life issues after a life fully lived.

Group Facilitator, Listener, Communicator, Storyteller

Thoughts to Ponder

  • What was a memorable gift you received and what made it special?
  • Is there a message you would like to leave with those you love?
  • Have you made an end of life plan for yourself?

I provide more helpful “thoughts” to encourage personal insight and self-exploration to those participating in group and individual meetings. I look forward to sharing with you.

In forums ranging from intimate group shares to one-on-ones, I offer unique strategies for solving the challenges inherent in facing end of life transitions and concerns or fears of death and dying.

Through creative listening, storytelling, and open connections, we explore ways

  • To be inspired to age gracefully and wisely
  • To make talking about dying less taboo
  • To see end of life in a more positive light
  • To encourage others to share life stories
  • To deal with dying parents and aging loved ones thoughtfully, honestly and with understanding
  • To provide a coming together of family

I am available to groups and individuals in my home base of Portland, Oregon. I work with a variety of groups, including:

  • Hospices, churches, hospitals, retirement facilities
  • Women’s groups, book clubs, book stores

Group session timeframes are flexible dependent on group size and needs. Call to discuss your goals and scheduling.

One time individual meetings are one hour in length. Call to schedule.

My Mom’s Last Letter

I believe that my book, My Mom’s Last Letter, came to me as a gift from my mother – both from all I learned from her while she was alive, and then, miraculously, from what I heard from her after she died.

I want my book, like my time and services, to be a gift.

Free services

I have an express desire to give back and contribute to others, and I offer my time and services free of charge.

I believe there is special power in the giving of a gift or service that has no expectations for any financial return.

I believe there is a particular freedom in an offering to and acceptance of my gift of services by those who choose to participate. It becomes a two-way exchange, a mutual gifting of time and honest sharing and commitment.

Contact me to learn more about how we can work together to meet your needs as a group or individual. I look forward to talking.
